Homemade hummus with roasted red pepper. Inspired by Sabra hummus which we always have in our fridge. I decided to recreate it at home and it came out so good. You can find most of the ingridents in your pantry. Be sure to tag me if you try this recipe, I’d love to see what you guys come up with. #cookitkelly_ @cookitkelly_
Ingredients
- 3 Fresno red peppers
- 1 Serrano
- 1 Can of garbanzo beans
- 1/2 can of cannelloni beans
- Salt and pepper
- EVOO
- Juice from 1 lemon
- 3 Garlic cloves
Directions
- Roast the peppers and garlic until they are charred. I used the grill but you can roast them in oven as well.
- Open your cans of garbanzo and cannelloni beans. Make sure you rinse them.
- Grab your food processor and throw in the both beans, roasted garlic , salt, pepper, and olive oil. I usually free hand the olive oil. You want the consistency to be very smooth.
- Peppers should be done by this time. Add to food processor (make sure you rinse the food processor to get the residue from the beans out).
- Put hummus in a bowl and top it off with the roasted red pepper mix.
- Enjoy with carrots & celery or your favorite chips.
